A Thousand Year Dream

As fable-like as I may seem,
I promise you, I am not a dream.
I dreamt for a thousand years,
And still, I dream
As everyone else hopes for a din,
A sound of the empty vessel of fantasies.
I will breathe these into life,
Force flesh, bone, and blood
Into their effervescent fabric.
As the mind loses its structure,
As I force myself into deconstruction,
Reality loses its gleam.
Still, if I string
My words into a diamond sheen,
Just for you,
Will you wear it?
